In honor of World Arabic Day and Qatar National Day, December 18th, we are launching the #ISpeakArabic contest to highlight non-native Arabic speakers and learners and show how they use it in their lives and careers. Join the #ISpeakArabic movement and upload a video of yourself talking about your love of the Arabic language and how it’s impacted your life, why it’s important, share insights on how to best learn it, or if you are just getting started, tell us why you want to learn Arabic!
We invite non-native students, teachers and professionals to join and submit a personal video for a chance to win a gift card of $500!

Videos submitted past January 31st, 2016 will not be eligible.
Voting will be accepted until 11:59 PM on March 31, 2016.
Winners will be announced on World Language Day, April 16, 2016!
The prizeFirst place winner will receive a $500 gift card and some sweet #ISpeakArabic swag.
Second place winner will $50 gift card and #ISpeakArabic swag.
Third place winner will win #ISpeakArabic swag. It includes T-shirt and stickers!
Eligibility and termsThe Contest is open to legal residents of their respective countries, where not prohibited by law, who are non-native Arabic speakers or learners.
Videos created under a video professional’s supervision are NOT eligible. Employees of Qatar Foundation International (QFI), and their immediate families, are not eligible. QFI reserves the right to reject work deemed unsuitable for publication or that does not meet above criteria.
All online video submissions must be received by 01/31/2016 11:59PM EST, unless otherwise extended by QFI. Voting will end on 03/31/2016.
Terms: Qatar Foundation International (QFI) reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest should (in its sole discretion) a virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the contest. In such case, QFI may select the recipients from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by QFI.
Entries and other submitted material become the property of Qatar Foundation International and will not be acknowledged or returned. QFI reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the contest or website or violates these Terms. By participating, you agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of Qatar Foundation International, as final and binding as it relates to the content.
Winner selection and notification: Winners of the competition will be selected under the supervision of the Sponsor. Winners will be notified via the platform they entered the contest within five (5) days following the winner selection and announcement. Qatar Foundation International shall have no liability for a winner’s failure to receive notices due to winners’ spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for winners’ provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 15 days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and releases as required, prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
